We hope this update finds you well. The beginning of 2020 has been an interesting one; with political tension, Brexit and now a virus.
The current situation with COVID-19 or better known yet as Coronavirus, has affected global supply chains. Because China has been closed for a little over a month now and production levels are still at 20%, there is a scarcity in raw materials, leading to long manufacturing delays for conventional companies, putting us on the bench.
Wuhan is one of the hubs in China for synthetic fabrics. Due to global shortages, more precisely of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), other neighbouring factories are now lending a hand, e.g factories that produce materials for conventional toothbrushes, are switching production to making PPE.
Furthermore, the closing of borders and the quarantine of over 800 million people also causes a shortages within the labour force.
It is unknown to us at present, when we will be able to resume manufacturing as normal. This means that we will not be able to deliver Tooth on time for April 2020. The current situation does not allow us to give you an exact shipping date yet. We will keep you updated once we get more clarity on the situation.
We really appreciate your patience. We are putting in long hours with full focus on getting the products ready for production and nothing else.
